You need a new starter pack with this release, even if you have downloaded Newspeak before.

Starter packs

The starter packs include everything you need to get started with Newspeak: IDE, virtual machine and documentation.

• Starter pack for Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later - Intel only
• Starter pack for Linux
• Starter pack for Windows (XP, Vista and 7 only)

Sources

Newspeak sources: (newspeak-source-2010-02-23.zip).

Older versions are available from Sourge Forge.

Licensing

The current prototype is based on Squeak, and contains code that is subject to the Squeak License, as well as the Newspeak sources, which are mostly under the Apache 2.0 license. More details about the licensing of this software are available on the license page.
